About

My name is Shane Benzie and ten years ago, I was training with a group of elite Ethiopian runners, in the Rift Valley, East Africa. Their movement that was unlike anything I had ever witnessed in the western world, it was fluid, synergistic, connected, almost elastic.

Intrigue and fascination inspired me to go on a journey to better understand what I had witnessed and learn how I could share it with others and change the way we run and move for the better.

This incredible journey has taken me across six continents, living with numerous tribes and indigenous peoples, studying how they move. I have coached and researched some of the worlds most talented athletes all in the pursuit of the elixir of elasticity.

One of the many things I’ve realised, is the joy that running brings to people. Run more beautifully, live more beautifully.
